This is a story of my boy Six.
Six was a beautiful Labrador/Chow Chow mix. I got him on my 6th birthday as a gift from my parents because they knew how badly I wanted a dog.
I still remember how that day went, it was my 6th B-Day and I was just laying in my room talking to my sister when my mom came in and excitedly told me to come outside. As I got up she covered my eyes and led me outside, then when we were outside she uncovered my eyes and I saw the most adorable fluffy dog sitting right next to my dad on a leash.
I honestly didn’t believe it was real until the dog saw me and ran over to me and jumped on me, silly boy almost knocked me over. I was just so happy, and later that day my mom helped me name him Six (because I got him on my 6th B-day) That whole day I spent outside with him just sitting next to him and petting him, then when I had to go inside I remember feeling so sad because he was going to be an outside dog.
I made so many good memories with him. Playing soccer with him, playing fetch with him, teaching him tricks (well trying to lol), giving him treats, taking him for walks, and even just sitting outside with him and relaxing while he laid his head in my lap.
I loved every minute I spent with him, but sadly, the worst thing that could happen to a dog owner happened to me, he got very old, then he passed away right at my feet on March 22, 2015 at 11 years old, that day was the WORST day of my life, it was only 4 days ago. I still feel very sad and I still cry over him, but I know he is in a good place and is probably very happy. I’ll NEVER forget him, he’ll always have a very special place in my heart. I’m very thankful that I got to have him in my life for 11 years. To whomever is reading this, I just want to thank you for taking the time to stop and read this. R.I.P Six May 21, 2005 – March 22, 2015. I’ll never forget you boy, I know I’ll see you again one day, I know it may not be for a very very long time but when I do I’ll give you a big hug and we’ll go for a long walk together. <3
